AREA is dedicated to advancing the fields of forensic economics, vocational rehabilitation, and life care planning through professional certification, continuing education, ethical standards, and the promotion of best practices in litigation support.
AREA's mission is two-fold:
- Recognizing the integrative use of vocational, life care planning, and economic loss assessment as a distinct discipline, and
- Providing a forum for peer-exchange of information from vocational, economic, and life care planning experts.
